# Timing Out

Depending on the context and the severity, the time outs will vary.**.**

* Anything past warning can be moved up 1 level if seen as extreme. Ask in elp chat and if majority votes extreme then move up.
* Harassment/bounties should always be a warning for the first time regardless of other ban stacks.
* Gay on its own is shit talk but anything negative towards BEING GAY will be seen as homophobia\
  If user isn’t in discord do a 1 hour ban or !dm in staff commands (for logs)
* Inappropriate names such as things to do with Criminals or names voted too bad can be changed by any admin team in discord or given a 1 hour ban in game with warning to change. This can stack separately so only stack if same offence.
* If a rule break occurs in a ticket then context is needed - If it is repeating what they are reporting then no action should be taken but if they are just using slurs then ban accordingly
* Warnings that don’t stack should be Warning > 1 hour > 24 , Then repeat 24 if needed.

You will also need to check the users previous bans to be sure that they receive the correct amount of time. 

Get the players steam ID (you can also do it by their discord ID)

You can either use their @ or discord ID

When you have their steam ID you’ll want to do !b \<steam ID> (You can also use discord Id)

The time someone gets for their timeout is based on the stacking

Warnings and the 1 hour ban are not necessarily needed to receive a 24 hour.

For anything under 14 day timeouts right click the user and select Timeout \<Username>\
you also use this command to shorten or extend a timeout if it was the incorrect time.

Select the duration and enter the reason with the duration and date of timeout

After hitting time out, screenshot your evidence and go to bans under mod logs&#x20;

Find your time out and locate what number it says after case:

Paste your screenshot into the chat and when it ask for the ID number, enter the correlating numbers with your timeout

It will add the evidence directly to the time out

If the ban is regarding hacks or you need to add more than one piece of evidence please create a thread on the ban message and add evidence there. This will allow you to save videos as evidence as well.
