# Sponsor Tickets

When someone requests to sponsor an event you will want to get some key details.

**How many points would they like to sponsor the event with?**

*It must be a minimum of 100 points. Under 100 should be a discord event (trivia or such)*

*If it is over 300 points you’d want to recommend a large event but ultimately it is their choice*.&#x20;

**What event would they like to be hosted?**

*If they say they do not care or just whatever event is next, follow the above recommendation and choose an event that wasn’t hosted the week prior.*

**When works best for them?**

*Even if they don’t care what event, ask them what their availabilities are - Match this with what time slots are available for the week.*&#x20;

**Remind them they can not win their own points back**

*Where they are free to join the event to play but will not get any points (winning or participation).*

**Invite the user to host or spectate**

*Sponsors can be given admin on the event server to either spectate in admin mode or help host the event. Please refer to the Sponsoring tab of events document*

&#x20;

When the event, time and date are all chosen please pre write the event announcement in the ticket with the adjusted point hand outs; keeping in mind that the donated points goes towards placements ONLY.\
If they wish to give points towards participation it must be dependent on how many people show up.

This way if you are unable to host the event there’s no last minute work that needs to be done.

If the player has no interest beyond donating, remove the points and say thank you and discuss with the team on what event it should go towards. The ticket should only be closed when the event has been added to the calendar

After taking the points make sure you check the Event Sponsors channel in discord - Search for the players name and if the name is not there please add it. Under the players name make a thread to track sponsored points. Messages should include\
A link to the event post - Points Sponsored - Total Points Sponsored

If they have reached the next sponsorship goal please @ admin team and request the role be added.\ <br>
